1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Squirrel Wallet mobile application (the “App”), our website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
If you use the Services on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Squirrel Wallet is a non-custodial wallet software product. This means:
- You control your wallet and authorize all transactions
- We do not custody, control, or hold your digital assets, and we do not have access to your private keys
- Blockchain transactions are irreversible. We cannot reverse, cancel, or recover transactions once they are sent to a blockchain network.
Squirrel is not a bank, broker, exchange, money transmitter, financial advisor, or investment advisor. We do not provide investment, legal, tax, or financial advice.
3. Eligibility and Prohibited Jurisdictions
You must be legally permitted to use the Services in your jurisdiction.
You may not use the Services if your use would violate applicable laws or regulations, including applicable sanctions laws.
4. Important Risk Disclosures
You understand and accept that using blockchain technology and digital assets involves substantial risk, including:
- market volatility and possible total loss
- irreversible transactions and errors (wrong address/network)
- smart contract vulnerabilities, hacks, exploits, and protocol failures
- phishing, malware, SIM swaps, social engineering, and device compromise
- network congestion, delays, forks, and changes to blockchain rules
- third-party service failures (on-ramps, swaps, bridges, dApps)
- third-party service failures (on-ramps, swaps, bridges, dApps)
- third-party service failures (on-ramps, swaps, bridges, dApps)
You are solely responsible for verifying transaction details before confirming or broadcasting a transaction.
5. Your Responsibilities
You agree that you are solely responsible for:
- securing your device, passwords, passcodes, biometrics, and any authentication methods
- safeguarding any recovery methods you use (including any recovery phrases, keys, or guardian configurations)
- smart contract vulnerabilities, hacks, exploits, and protocol failures
- confirming the address, network, and amount before sending
- complying with all laws applicable to you (including tax rules)
If the App offers a guardians or social recovery feature, you acknowledge:
- recovery depends on the guardian(s) you choose and your configuration
- we cannot guarantee recovery if you lose access, choose unreliable guardians, or configure recovery incorrectly
- you are responsible for selecting trustworthy guardians and maintaining access to your recovery methods
7. Third-Party Services (On-Ramps, Swaps, Bridges, dApps)
The Services may connect you to third-party providers (for example, fiat on-ramps, swapping/bridging services, staking, dApps, analytics providers). When you use third-party services:
- you are contracting with the third party, not Squirrel
- the third party’s terms, fees, KYC/AML requirements, and privacy policies apply
- we do not control third-party pricing, slippage, execution, availability, or outcomes
Squirrel is not responsible for third-party acts or omissions, including failed transactions, delays, or losses caused by third-party providers.
8. Fees
You may incur:
- network fees (gas) charged by blockchain networks,
- third-party fees charged by providers you choose to use
- any optional fees disclosed in-app (if applicable)
Network fees are variable and depend on network conditions. Any fee estimates may differ from the final fee paid.
9. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Activities
You agree not to use the Services to:
- violate any law or regulation (including sanctions laws)
- engage in fraud, deception, scams, market manipulation, money laundering, or illegal gambling
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or interfere with security controls
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code (except to the extent permitted by law)
- distribute malware, abuse APIs, or disrupt the Services
- infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
We may restrict or suspend access to the Services to protect users, comply with law, or maintain security and platform integrity.
10. Beta / Experimental Features
Some features may be beta, experimental, or limited-release. These features may be unstable, change without notice, or be discontinued. You use beta features at your own risk.
11. Intellectual Property
The Services, including software, designs, logos, trademarks, and content, are owned by Squirrel or its licensors. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for lawful personal use.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from the Services except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law.
Our collection and use of information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you agree to our Privacy Policy.
13. Suspension, Termination, and Service Changes
We may suspend, limit, modify, or discontinue the Services (or any part of them) at any time for security, compliance, maintenance, or business reasons.
Because Squirrel Wallet is non-custodial, suspension or termination does not prevent you from accessing your assets on-chain, but it may limit app functionality and third-party integrations.

16. Indemnification
